1. Electronic Communication Consent
To provide the most efficient care, The Shed Wellness Collective offers communication via email, SMS/text messaging, and physical mail. By opting into these channels, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Inherent Risk of Insecure Channels: Standard email and text messaging are not encrypted and are considered insecure methods of communication. There is an inherent risk that information sent via these methods could be intercepted or accessed by unintended third parties.

  • Confidentiality Limits: Even if clinical details (like diagnoses) are not shared, the "metadata" of our communication (the fact that you are receiving a text from a therapy practice) is considered Protected Health Information (PHI) under HIPAA.

  • Purpose of Use: We use these channels primarily for the distribution of therapeutic tools or resources. These channels are not monitored 24/7 and are not to be used for crisis intervention.

2. Physical Mail & Therapeutic Tools
As part of our work together, I may send workbooks, tactile tools, or other resources to your provided mailing address. I may also mail cards/postcards with words of encouragement. Postcards will not indicate the sender as a therapy practice practitioner and will not disclose any personal information.

  • Privacy Acknowledgment: While I use discreet packaging, I cannot guarantee that the exterior of the mailer will not be seen by others at your residence or delivery location.

  • Responsibility: The Shed Wellness Collective is not responsible for items lost, stolen, or intercepted once they have been mailed.

3. Social Media & Digital Boundaries
To protect your privacy and maintain clear professional boundaries (as required by licensing boards in Tennessee, South Carolina, and Massachusetts), the following rules apply:

  • Connections: I do not accept "friend" or "connection" requests from current or former clients on personal social media accounts. This prevents "dual relationships" that could compromise your treatment.

  • Professional Pages: You may follow our professional business pages for educational content. However, please be aware that interacting with these pages (liking/commenting) may publicly identify you as a client.

  • Direct Messaging (DM): Please do not use "DMs" on social media to contact me. These platforms are not HIPAA-compliant and are not a secure way to reach your provider.

  • Search Engines: I do not "google" or search for clients online. I believe your story belongs to you, and I prefer to learn about your life directly from you in session.

4. Emergency & Crisis Policy
DO NOT USE EMAIL, TEXT, OR SOCIAL MEDIA FOR EMERGENCIES.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or are in immediate danger, please utilize the following 24/7 resources:

  • Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: Call or Text 988
  • Veterans Crisis Line: Call 988 and Press 1, or text 838255
  • Emergency Services: Call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Room.

5. Formal Acknowledgment
By submitting forms on this website or checking the "I Agree" boxes in my client portal, you are providing Informed Consent to the risks and policies outlined above. You understand that you are not required to sign this consent to receive treatment and may revoke this authorization in writing at any time.

I would like to receive text notifications.
